Making a claim on your student insurance policy

Possessions

We know that form filling is a real pain, but we do need you to let us have the details requested so that we can get on with dealing with your claim. Please contact Endlseigh and inform them of the student claim.

Alternatively, if you wish to speak to one of our claims handlers, please call 0870 241 6104. Our lines are open 9.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday.

Please check your policy to ensure that the cause of the loss or damage is covered. Your statement of insurance will show which Cover Sections of your policy apply.

What should I do now?

There is no need to get estimates to replace items we will do this.

For items lost or stolen, you will need to send proof of ownership such as original invoices, receipts, manuals, photographs or guarantee certificates. We are sorry, but photocopies are not acceptable, so please send originals as soon as you can. We appreciate that for lower value items this may not be possible.

Please don't throw away items that have been damaged as we may wish to examine them. We have a range of specially selected suppliers who can arrange to collect and inspect damaged items. If we feel this is necessary we will contact you following receipt of your claim details.

What will Endsleigh do?

We will aim to settle your claim as quickly as possible and on receipt of your claim details we will contact you within 1 week.

We will normally replace items through one of our specially selected suppliers. Where this is not possible we will pay in cash.

It may be necessary for one of our staff or a Loss Adjuster to visit you. This is a normal claims procedure so please do not worry. We will let you know if this is necessary on receipt of your claim details.
