Natwest, the high street bank, are offering a free five year young persons railcard with all new student bank accounts opened before October.
Natwest, arguably one of the most popular student banks alongside HSBC, are offering free student railway cards, enabling students to get up to 30% discount off train travel. Alongside free railcards, Natwest claim students will also receive advice, an interest free overdraft, discount rates of insurance, commission free travel money and 24 hour access to their student bank account.
In the first year, students can receive an interest free overdraft of up to £1,250. Students are also able to receive a free student credit card and online banking, as with most bank accounts. Natwest claim they are ideal for students as bank accounts can be opened online with instant online access to bank account details. Natwest also have branches on, or near to campuses, and offer commission free travel money.
However, students are unlikely to be swayed by commission free travel money.
Natwest also offer graduate accounts, with graduate mortgages, graduate loans and appropriate savings accounts.
