Male students should enhance their literacy and English skills in order to bring back the lost art of writing love letters to female counterparts, according to a recent survey.
In the UK, 2,000 women were interviewed by the Department for Education and Skills poll and 77% of the women questioned said that they would prefer a hand written letter to a similarly romantic text message or e-mail.
Over 25% of the women questioned had stated that they had never received a romantic letter. A further half of the women had never been sent a romantic letter in a decade.
The Department for Education and Skills has proclaimed its Get On campaign should help males to improve their three Rs before they put pen to paper and write a romantic letter.
Famous novelist Jilly Cooper stated that after her first date with current husband, he sent her a love letter saying he couldn't wait to see her again over 45 years ago.
Instead of drinking and getting into student debt, it seems that male students need to start writing so get pen to paper lads!
